VVSD's Veterans Treatment Center (VTC) is a state licensed residential early treatment program for homeless veterans who have substance abuse issues. The VRC offers homeless veterans a safe, clean and sober village-like setting for several months to a year, depending upon individual needs.
Formulated as a social model, VTC is integrated with structured case management and mental health therapy that simultaneously addresses:
- Addiction
- Mental Health
- Medical
- Family Issues
- Legal
- Spiritual Development
- Employment
This multi-service approach is divided into three phases:
- Recovery Services
- Employment Development
- Community Reintegration.
VVSD was one of the first to recognize the need to treat both substance abuse and the underlying mental health issues.
