VVSD has a Vision - a plan to expand our community to serve more veterans that we know need our help. We have done a great deal to bring this Vision to reality - we are currently under construction for the second phase, expanding our facility from 128 beds to 224 in a new, modern facility. We will continue to move forward as we expand to serve over 220 homeless veterans - and their families.

The VVSD Fund welcomes participation at all levels. Annual gifts to VVSD may range from $5 to $50,000 and upward. We are always glad to share ideas on creative ways to make gifts that can provide a substantial tax deduction and provide meaningful support for our programs.

We accept gifts of property as well. We often make use of used furniture, clothing and household articles for our “Welcome Home” Family Program in southeast San Diego. We also use these donations for all the residents in our primary treatment facility on Pacific Highway in San Diego and for the transitional living facilities we operate in Escondido, El Cajon and in Golden Hills.
