Welcome Home Family Program

VVSD Veterans Winter Shelter
Each winter, Veterans Village of San Diego provides a warm and safe environment for homeless veterans. Residents are housed in a "tent like" structure, which has the capacity to comfortably hold 150 homeless veterans.

Mahedy Sober Living House
VVSD offers affordable housing for employed graduates of the VRC. Mahedy House is a beautifully restored Victorian home located in the Golden Hill area of San Diego, with space available for 14 people. Residents of the sober living house access counseling services and sober recreational activities at the VRC, helping them maintain their new positive lifestyle.

1501 Imperial Ave. * San Diego, CA 92101 * (619) 233-8500 In cooperation with Father Joe's Village, VVSD provides case management and counseling to veterans living at Father Joe's Village for the homeless in Downtown San Diego. Veterans in the program learn basic living skills and receive job training and job placement assistance.
