AOD Case Manager/Counselor VVSD's Welcome Home Family Program
Qualifications:
- Currently hold a valid California Alcohol and Drug certification or actively working toward an Alcohol and Drug certification and hold a minimum of an A.A. Degree in Human Services or a related field
- Must have minimum of 1 year recent paid work experience in an adult alcohol and drug treatment program, residential experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of Veterans benefits and issues.
- Certified knowledge of alcoholism and drug addiction recovery process.
- Must be able to fluently read, write and communicate in English
- Must be able to, both mentally and physically, comfortably perform all aspects of job description and other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Valid California drivers license, vehicle insurance, CPR and First Aid certification.
- Veteran Status a Plus!!
Responsibilities and Major Duties:
- Perform intake interviews, assessments and refer clients to appropriate community resources
- Perform individual addiction counseling and case-manage all assigned clients through their treatment completion and follow-up.
- Facilitate structured didactic groups and process groups
- Assist residents with individual treatment planning, employment planning, and exit planning.
- Occasional evening and weekend work required
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Pay: $13.50 per hour
Job Status: This is an hourly (non) exempt position which pays $13.50 per hour with benefits available after 90 days.
Candidate must pass a background check and drug screen.
Alcohol & Drug Counselor/Case Manager - FIVE OPENINGS
Qualifications:
- Veteran Status a plus
- Currently hold a valid California AOD certification or actively working toward an AOD certification and hold a minimum of an A.A. Degree in Human Services or a related field. Must have minimum of 1 year recent work experience in an alcohol and drug treatment program, residential experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of Veterans benefits and issues.
- Basic certified knowledge of alcoholism and drug addiction recovery process.
- Must be able to fluently read, write and communicate in English
- Valid California drivers license, vehicle insurance, CPR and First Aid certification.
